Launch Date: May 30, 2018
Coinciding with the release of Universal Studios’ feature film “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”, Jurassic World Alive uses the magic of Augmented Reality to let players experience the thrill of finding dinosaurs in the real world. The premise of the game is that dinosaurs have fled Jurassic World and are roaming free in your cities and neighborhoods. Serving as members of the Dinosaur Protection Group, players must explore their area to find dinosaurs and help save them from extinction. Along the way, they can collect rare dinosaur breeds, create their own hybrid dinosaurs, battle teams of dinosaurs in real-time PvP competitive arenas, and more!
Dave Their of Forbes: “Jurassic World Alive is the slickest Pokémon GO clones yet: not a simple copy or cash-in, but a full-fledged licensed location-based game that borrows a whole lot from Pokémon GO without sacrificing its own identity.”
Brian Crecente of Variety: “The game offers a slightly more skill-based take on the popular “Pokemon Go” augmented reality title and is sure to be a big hit with fans of dinosaurs.”
Nick Tylwalk of FanSided: “But what’s undoubtedly going to be the favorite feature for many people is the ability to bring dinosaurs to life in augmented reality. The game doesn’t lean quite as hard on AR in its core mechanics as Pokemon GO, but you’re able to take any dinosaur you’ve collected and bring it to life in your immediate surroundings, which is undeniably cool.”
Jurassic World Alive is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases that range from $1.99 to $99.99 per item. The dual currency economy features both Coins, which can be used to do things like evolve or fuse your dinosaurs, and Cash, which can be used to buy darts, incubators and other items. Players can also choose to buy a monthly VIP subscription for $9.99 that gets you access to things like exclusive supply drop rewards, exclusive offers in the store, and enhanced batteries for your drone.
Of course, players can also choose to watch videos or engage with other types of advertisements through Tapjoy, the game’s exclusive provider of in-app ads.
The Sizzle Reel

The Augmented Reality mechanics work well, and the developers get bonus points for taking the concept to another level. The game will have you chasing dinosaurs throughout your neighborhood and having a blast collecting, evolving and mixing dinosaurs in your own personal laboratory.
