In 2020, LovelyWholeSale embarked on a mission to raise brand awareness, attract new customers, and increase revenue. The retailer teamed up with Tapjoy to achieve these goals.

Run A Test

Strategy

LovelyWholeSale worked closely with Tapjoy’s mobile strategists to hash out a plan of action. The team decided to leverage CPA ads in the Tapjoy Offerwall, A/B testing different icons to see which ones received the most attention. At first, the CPA offers led users to the LovelyWholeSale homepage, but the brand also opted to test specific landing pages for men’s and women’s clothing. The test paid off: The men’s landing page proved most effective, outperforming the women’s version by a significant margin.

LovelyWholeSale’s primary goal was customer acquisition. The team optimized the campaign accordingly, using a relatively competitive bid to get more impressions. With this good foundation, on the second stage, the client focused on the ROI. Since they know what the AOV is, it’s easy for them to pick a proper bid, and fulfil their ROI.

Results

By A/B testing ad creative and strategy, LovelyWholeSale easily met its sales goals while driving brand awareness. Over 30,000 new users visited the company’s website, with 2,000 of those visitors completing purchases on their first visit. Those visitors also exhibited repurchasing behavior, contributing to the profitability of the campaign.

Overall, CPA ads delivered against all three goals by improving brand awareness, multiplying site traffic, and increasing revenue. The brand continues to leverage CPA ads in its acquisition strategy, and the partnership remains strong.
